What can you expect from these best-selling models in 2025? How does Chevrolet make its vehicles worthwhile by adding new technologies, trims, and sophisticated details? It’s time to find out as we highlight some of the biggest updates and improvements to Chevrolet’s SUV lineup in 2025.

2025 Equinox Updates: The Launch of a New Generation

The 2025 Equinox marks the SUV’s fourth generation, with Chevrolet celebrating the model’s tenure as its best-selling SUV with a makeover. The new Equinox is more athletic than ever, with bolder lines and a stance that stretches two-and-a-half inches wider than its predecessor. Chevrolet complements the Equinox’s rugged and refined aesthetic by squaring the wheel openings and fender flares, expanding its wheel selection to include 17-inch and 20-inch options, and giving each trim distinct front fascias to mirror their unique styles. But what else can you expect beyond what meets the eye?

#1 – A New Family Member: Meet the Equinox ACTIV

The Equinox family expands in 2025 with the all-new ACTIV trim Chelsea drivers will love. Designed for off-road adventures, the Equinox ACTIV builds on the SUV’s more rugged aesthetic by adding all-terrain tires and a unique front fascia with vertical grille inserts, metallic-finished accents, and blacked-out badging. Inside, the ACTIV looks the part of an adventurer and features an exclusive Maple Sugar and Black interior theme with seats finished in sueded microfiber and Chevrolet’s premium Evotex material. It also includes many standard features to optimize your comfort long after the pavement ends, like standard heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. You can even add rear heated outboard seats and ventilated front seats.

#2 – A New Interior: Tech-Centric and Well-Equipped

The 2025 Equinox has an all-new, tech-centric interior that prioritizes your experience in the driver’s seat. Chevrolet moves the transmission range selector to the steering column, yielding more storage space below the Equinox’s expansive 11.3-inch infotainment screen, which features Google Built-In, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay capabilities. You’ll also find an 11-inch configurable driver information center in the Equinox’s repositioned dashboard to give you more room and enhance the cabin’s spacious feel.

#3 – A Potent Heartbeat: Customizable Performance

Chevrolet makes the 2025 Equinox more exciting to drive by outfitting it with a turbocharged 1.5L engine and, depending on the drivetrain, a continuously variable or eight-speed automatic transmission. The engine produces 175 hp and, when outfitted with Chevrolet’s all-wheel drive system, can tow up to 1,500 pounds, heightening its appeal and versatility. Yet, that’s not the biggest update for 2025.

Chevrolet guarantees the 2025 Equinox turns heads by giving drivers more control over the SUV’s performance. The Equinox RS and Equinox ACTIV deliver as much with the SUV’s first-ever driver-selectable modes. Depending on front-wheel or all-wheel drive, you can switch between Normal, Snow, and Off-Road modes to tailor the Equinox’s performance and handling to your style and the conditions.

#4 Confidence in the Driver’s Seat: Safety and Driver-Assist Tech

Chevrolet prioritizes driver safety by outfitting the 2025 Equinox with its standard Chevy Safety Assist suite and renowned technologies like Teen Driver. The safety suite includes Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking, a Following Distance Indicator, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, and IntelliBeam headlights. The Equinox’s optional safety features expand the suite and include technologies like Side Bicyclist Alert, Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking, Enhanced Lane Keep Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, and Rear Park Assist.

2025 Tahoe and Suburban Updates: A Mid-Cycle Refresh with Best-in-Class Updates

The Tahoe and Suburban are full-size siblings in Chevrolet’s SUV lineup, taking the title as the most spacious and capable in the fleet. For 2025, the models share updates with a mid-cycle refresh that celebrates, acknowledges, and extends their tenure as segment leaders. Chelsea drivers can expect more technologies, features, and potency from these full-size road warriors.

#1 – New Design Elements: Interior and Exterior Updates

The 2025 Tahoe and 2025 Suburban introduce updated exterior and interior design elements that heighten their curb appeal across their six-trim lineups. New front fascias give the SUVs a bolder, more rugged aesthetic, with Chevrolet differentiating each trim with unique design cues. For example, the High Country blends athleticism and luxury with its Galvano chrome trim, while the Z71 embodies its adventurous side with its high-approach front bumper and underbody skid plates. You can also get the RST or High Country with 24-inch wheels, a first for the SUVs.

Moving inside the cabin, the Suburban and Tahoe feature tech-centric cockpits engineered to improve and enhance your experience in the driver’s seat. Chevrolet revamps the interior in several key ways, like lowering the instrument panel to increase visibility across the front row. The center console and steering wheel are also redesigned to complement unique interior elements, like the soft-touch materials and the authentic wood decor on trims like the High Country.

#2 – Best-in-Class Technologies: Connectivity and Driver-Assist Features

With updated interior designs, the 2025 Tahoe and 2025 Suburban offer technology that puts everything you need within view or at your fingertips. The SUVs feature tech-centric interiors framed by expansive digital displays. The 11-inch driver information center complements the class-leading 17.7-inch freeform infotainment system that offers seamless smartphone integration and access to an expansive camera system.

Driving the 2025 Tahoe or 2025 Suburban also means enjoying cutting-edge driver-assist features like Super Cruise. The technology is the industry’s first true hands-free driver-assist tool and will transform your experience behind the wheel. It works on over 400,000 miles of compatible roads throughout the United States and Canada, allowing you to take your hands off the wheel and let the Tahoe or Suburban drive itself at highway speeds. This technology works with an already expansive lineup of safety and driver-assist tools that include Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist, Teen Driver, and the Chevy Safety Assist suite.

Beyond Super Cruise, the all-new Connected Cameras system is undeniably the most exciting tech update for the full-size SUVs in 2025. The system offers 360-degree views around the Tahoe and Suburban, but unlike a rear vision camera, it provides this view remotely via the myChevrolet mobile app. The system is engineered to enhance your safety and experience by offering tools like Live View, Crash Recording, Security Recording, and My Recordings, which functions like a dash cam.

#3 – More Capable and Innovative: Diesel Power and Trailering Tech

By refining its diesel heartbeat, Chevrolet introduces more power to the 2025 Suburban and Tahoe. The 5.3L V8 continues its tenure as the base engine, with the 6.2L V8 standard on the High Country and available on top-tier trims like the Premier, Z71, and RST. Yet, the 3.0L Duramax steals the show, delivering 305 hp and 495 lb-ft of torque, an impressive jump over the 2024 Duramax’s output of 277 ponies and 460 lb-ft of torque.

The Duramax adds to the Tahoe and Suburban’s appeal in 2025, but Chevrolet doesn’t stop there. The SUVs offer better handling and more comfortable rides, courtesy of the available Air Ride Adaptive Suspension and Magnetic Ride Control. You’ll also enjoy more trailering capability with the Max Trailering package, which adds a high-capacity radiator, cooling fan, Hill Descent Control, Blind Zone Steering Assist with Trailering, the Chevrolet Trailering App, and an integrated trailer brake controller. Other new trailering technologies include Forward Path Indication, Boat Ramp Assist, Trailer Navigation, Trailer Tire Health, and Load Rating Info via the mobile trailering app.

Chevrolet’s Theme for 2025: More for Your Money

Chevrolet continues its legacy of giving Americans more for their money in 2025, and Chelsea drivers are ready to reap the benefits. Best-selling SUVs like the Equinox, Tahoe, and Suburban introduce modern designs, innovative technologies, and better performance. In turn, drivers see and experience the value of their investment firsthand, sweetened only by the automaker’s reputation for building reliable, long-lasting SUVs.
