The year 2023 is almost here, and Chevy is revving its engines (literally) to celebrate the incoming year with some exciting upgrades and additions to its lineup. We’ve taken a sneak peek at all that’s to come for 2023, so if you’ve been looking for a Chevy dealer in Hoover, AL, who is ready to help you choose the best new Chevy for your needs, pay us a visit at Edwards Chevrolet 280. We’ve been test-driving and exploring all of the fun new additions, so we’re ready to help our customers understand which models and features are right for you.

One thing we love about the 2023 lineup is that Chevy paid special attention to nearly every category of their cars. People who need a great SUV might like to know that there are some changes in store for the sporty Blazer. Speed demons should restock on racing flags because the Corvette has some fun surprises in store for you. And those who have been interested in making the switch to an electric vehicle but have been hesitant might finally make the leap once they see the 2023 Bolt EV and EUV. There really is something for everyone in this new lineup, and we can’t wait to take you for a test drive. To pique your interest until then, here are some of the 2023 highlights you can look forward to.

A Tougher Colorado

If you’re familiar with the Chevy Colorado, then you already know that this is the brand’s easy-to-drive midsize pickup. It has moderate capabilities for those who need to do some modest towing and hauling while boasting maneuverability that makes it a good everyday car, too. This year, Chevy is toughening up their Colorado. Take one look at it, and you will immediately notice a more muscular stance––it’s wider and bigger to provide additional stability and balance. This year’s Colorado will only be available with a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine, but it’s a strong enough engine to handle the work most drivers put a Colorado up to.

Those who want to use their Colorado for some off-road adventure have two options within the 2023 Colorado lineup: the Trail Boss Edition and the ZR2. And for those who do need a hard-working truck for towing and hauling, the Desert Boss can tow a generous 7,700 pounds. Plus, it boasts a customizable bed along with integrated tailgate storage, making it an excellent DIYer’s pickup. Note that the 2023 Colorado exclusively comes in a crew cab paired with a five-foot bed. It remains comfortably in its midsize category, but Chevy has made some changes to make this a slightly tougher pickup.

A Blazer With a Makeover

The Chevy Blazer received one of the bigger refreshes in the 2023 lineup. The fascia will instantly strike you as different from previous years’ models. Completely new LED lamps from front to back greatly contribute to its new look, and provide drivers with greater visibility in low-light settings. The grille is distinctly different as well, with a unique new geometrical pattern. Drivers have some new color choices to choose from this year, too: Sterling Gray Metallic, Copper Bronze Metallic, and Radiant Red Tintcoat. As the final aesthetic upgrade, drivers can opt for 18, 20, or 21-inch wheels for either a subtle or more athletic look. Those who opt for the RS trim will see an elegant and eye-catching Nightshift Blue Interior.

The vehicle’s cabin continues to become more sophisticated and modern with a sleek and stunning 10.2-inch diagonal center screen. Drivers can look forward to staying connected thanks to wireless charging that is now standard on all models, and an available Wi-Fi hotspot. Between these two features, drivers and passengers can enjoy fully powered devices and the Internet on long drives. The vehicle still has great safety features, but that’s nothing new. Most upgrades for 2023 are stylistic.

A Corvette That Is Not for the Faint of Heart

The Corvette is making quite the splash this year, and if you hear what sounds like a monster-sized engine revving on your street, it’s probably the 2023 Corvette Z06. This year, the beloved and classic sports car gets a 5.5-liter V8 engine that kicks out 670 horsepower and makes this vehicle capable of going from zero to 60 in under three seconds. What also contributes to that new 0 to 60 record is the new flat-plane crankshaft that improves acceleration and cuts back on lag time. Drivers looking for a truly thrilling behind-the-wheel adventure won’t be disappointed. Plus, if you want to know the specifics of your performance, you can opt for the performance data recorder. This will display your stats, helping you learn and improve for your next lap.

Drivers can feel an enhanced sense of control over and connection to the Z06 thanks to a couple of features. One of these is the magnetic selective drive control. This system makes automatic adjustments to improve the car’s performance based on road conditions. Then there’s the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. This type of transmission divvies the transmission up into two parts: one clutch works with the odd-numbered gears, and the other corresponds to the even-numbered ones. Overall, this creates a transmission that operates extremely efficiently.

Go Green and Save Some Green With the Bolt

Chevy made headlines when they announced that the Chevy Bolt EV and EUV would boast significant price drops this year (we’re talking around $5-6K on some trims). Chevrolet has been outspoken about its ambitious plans to make most (and eventually all) of its lineup electric, so we think this price drop will make EVs more accessible to those on a budget and ultimately ease its customers into electric vehicles.

The lower price tags aren’t the only new things to get excited about. Both vehicles have some interesting features that make them a true pleasure to drive. In both models, you’ll get one pedal driving. This lets you speed up and slow down all with (you guessed it) one pedal. If you recall times you’ve sat in bumper-to-bumper traffic, inching up every few moments, you know how fatigued your legs get. One-pedal driving will be a big bonus in those conditions.

As for the EUV, some stylistic changes are noticeable, the main one being the addition of the Redline Edition. This version of the LT or Premier trims gets black leather with red accent stitching inside and some eye-catching paint options. Both vehicles boast quick charging times and impressive ranges. With that new lower price point, these EVs are definitely worth a look.

The 2023 Chevy Lineup Is Pretty Impressive

Chevrolet did not hold back when making upgrades to its 2023 lineup. The brand has its eyes set on elevating style and improving performance to meet the changing needs of fans. The Corvette is faster and stronger, the Colorado is tougher, the Blazer is somehow more beautiful than ever, and the Bolt EV and EUV just got a little more affordable, making EV life feel a little more within reach for all. We’re so excited about this 2023 lineup and know that our customers will enjoy test-driving these vehicles. Our team is already well versed in them, in and out, and ready to take you for a spin.
